Description
Allashua, an Inuit child has broken her promise to her parents. She has gone fishing through the cracks on the sea ice.
Now she has come face to to face with the Qualapaluit who live in the sea and they like nothing better than to reach out and grab Inuit child. No wonder she doesn’t look happy!
Allashua persuades the Qulapaluit to let her go by promising to bring back her brothers and sisters. Now what will she do? A promise is a promise!
Allashua is dressed warmly in a parka with a fur hood and is wearing her mittens. These Qualapaluit are also wearing fur hoods (made from loon feathers) and have very long arms and fingers.
